I got this email from one of our customers this weekend and I really just had to share it with you. It seems that when Stephen B. asked us to order Crank 2, his girlfriend asked staff member Gary to, well, sing the message when the movie arrived. Even though I’d already left a message (unaware that there was a special request), Gary called and followed through with his promise, apparently singing the plot synopsis from the back of the DVD cover. I’ve listened to it several times now and it just doesn’t get old. Too bad Gary’s on a road trip for the next week and probably won’t know that he’s become an Internet sensation until his 15 minutes are up.

“I hope a manager or owner is reading this. If not, please forward it to one. I’m writing regarding one of your employees. I didn’t catch his name but he’s a young blond headed fellow.

Anyhow, I special ordered “Crank 2″ which, in and of itself is a ridiculous yet extremely fun movie. My girlfriend asked that when it came in that he would leave the message on our phone saying that it had arrived, in song. The link is to the audio. This is the best thing ever! He deserves a raise if not a promotion. This is the BEST customer service! Thanks to all of you guys but especially to the talented and funny vocalist in your employ! Buy that kid a beer!!”

It’s true, we have the simplest rental program in the known universe*.  We don’t ask you for a credit card, there’s no annoying late fees or restrictive due dates. The truth is, whether you even return the movie is entirely up to you.

We already have several regulars who take advantage of this great deal, some almost daily! Why not join them?

*according to our own claims, and who can really argue with that?
