It looks like we’re back on track with normal February weather, and what better way to beat the drizzle than to curl up with a movie or two?

We’ve got a pretty cool looking Matrix box set here which contains all three Matrix films, plus Animatrix and the three-disc Matrix Experience which has eleventy-seven hours of behind the scenes, documentaries, music videos and more. All in a really Matrix-y box.

Or how about this: Rambo: The Complete Collector’s Set. We’re talkin’ First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, Rambo III and the most recent action-packed installment Rambo In Retirement. Okay, I made that last one up. The fourth one is just called Rambo, and he’s anything but retired. All in all, it’s six discs of guns, knives, bows (and arrows) and explosions with more than 20 bonus features, including the completely awesome sounding Rambo-nomics (and I’m not making that one up).

We also have probably the finest action franchise ever: The Die Hard Collection, with Die Hard, Die Hard 2: Die Harder and Die Hard With A Vengeance. The only way this could be better would be if it included Live Free Or Die Hard, but we’ll just have to wait for that one.

Other notable collector sets are three-disc versions of Black Hawk Down and American Gangster.

I would also like to remind you that we still have a big pile of slim cases that we would be happy to give away in exchange for regular-sized DVD cases. These slim cases are half as thick as the normal ones, so they’d help you save a lot of space on your shelves. The only thing wrong with them is they aren’t very well suited to our displays here in the store, so if you’d like to make a swap, come on in and see us.

If you’re anything like me (and I know I am) you have a lot of movies and not much space. Well, I have a solution for you and it’s absolutely free. As in no cost to you. At all.

A customer recently traded in close to 200 movies, nearly all of which were in those very sleek and slender slim cases. You know the ones that are half the size of a regular DVD case? Yeah, those. They’re all in great shape, but aren’t really ideal for our displays here in the store, so I will happily let you come in a trade me your fat cases for my skinny ones. Sound like a good deal?  That’s because it is a good deal. You get to keep your movies, and you get more space to put them in. Or you know, to add to your collection, something we can also help you with. :)

This is a first come, first served, while supplies last kind of offer so if you want any of these slim cases, get on down here with your non-slim cases and we’ll make a swap. Just like that.
