This has been a great week for new arrivals! Check this out:

Newish releases are on the shelves now, including these recent hits: Disney’s latest animated princess movie The Princess And The Frog, romantic comedy with Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker in Did You Hear About The Morgans?, animated superhero Astro Boy, heavy drama in Adoration, action-packed heist fun in Armored, a sci-fi/fantasy flick co-written by Peter Jackson called Jack Brown: Genius and the alien abduction thriller The Fourth Kind. Plus, more copies of Land Of The Lost, Drag Me To Hell and (500) Days Of Summer. Get ‘em while they’re hot.

Some recent trades to tell you about, too, including a whole bunch of music stuff, like Red Hot Chili Peppers: Off The Map and Funky Monks; Lynyrd Skynyrd: Freebird The Movie/Tribute Tour (double feature) and Lyve From Steeltown; Dream Theater: Live At Budokan and Metropolis 2000: Scenes From New York; plus Jimi Hendrix: Live At Woodstock, Dave Matthews Band: The Videos 1994 – 2001 and The Commitments. That’s a lot of music.

We also have some not-music stuff. Like movies. You remember movies, right? Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, 12 Monkeys, Slumdog Millionaire, Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Blackhawk Down are all I can come up with while staying in an animal theme… there’s also The Simpsons Movie, A Christmas Story, First Blood, The Hunt For Red October, Funny Farm, The Thomas Crown Affair, The Wedding Planner and Blackbeard: The Miniseries are just a few of the random smattering of titles we’ve gotten in recently.

Thursday New Arrivals

Got a pile of recent releases in today, including Assassination Of A High School President; Michael Moore’s Capitalism: A Love Story; an updated version of Stephen King’s Children Of The Corn; Dark Country; Imagine That; a remake of the 1974 horror classic It’s Alive; Old Dogs, Planet 51; Precious-Based On The Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire; Seventh Moon and Up In The Air.

That’s pretty much covers it. Kind of a slow news day. But with the impending stormy weather, I recommend hightailing it down here and picking up a movie or two for your couchbernation (it’s a word, really). This dude is ready:

New Arrivals For The Weekend

Some more recent and newish releases hitting the shelves today, like previewed copies of Lies And Illusions, Shrink, Where The Wild Things Are and 2012, plus more copies of Away We Go, Star Trek and Monsters Vs Aliens. I may have skipped mentioning that we also have brand spankin’ new copies of Sherlock Holmes in stock, as well as The Men Who Stare At Goats, Twilight Saga: New Moon, Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Blind Side.

Some other cool stuff includes a brand new unopened Mad Men season 2, Bruce Lee: The Master Collection (Fists Of Fury/The Chinese Connection/Return Of The Dragon/Game Of Death/Bruce Lee: The Legend) and a whole box full of stuff I haven’t even looked at yet. Okay, not true. I peeked. It’s loaded with cool stuff.

In other news, it seems that we were duped into thinking the Betamax thing was the wave of the future. I sent all that stuff back.

Recent releases just arriving in the store include Lymelife, O’Horten and Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. We also have brand new copies of The Twilight Saga: New Moon in the 2-disc special edition package.

Cool new trades keep coming in this week, like this three-fer of hyperviolence: Romper Stomper, the 2-disc super-amazing special edition of Fight Club and A Clockwork Orange. More musical goodies with The Commitments, Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols and This Is Spinal Tap.
