It’s Tuesday and that means new releases. Today we have the Peter Jackson thriller The Lovely Bones (which I’m told has a stand-out performance from Stanely Tucci, one of my favorite actors); the 19th century period drama The Young Victoria with Emily Blunt as the young Queen Victoria and more of my favorite actors: Paul Bettany, Jim Broadbent and Miranda Richardson, who played a different Queen in the Black Adder series. Finally we have the mystery/drama Peacock with Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page and Susan Sarandon. We also still have a few copies of Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Men Who Stare At Goats, Sherlock Holmes and The Blind Side.
And now for some news. We’re always looking for ways to better serve you, and with that in mind we’re happy to unveil our online shop. That’s right, just up there on the navigation bar, you’ll find a tab labeled “Shop Online” where you can do just that. You can browse our many thousands of DVD, Blu-Ray and video game titles and buy them from the comfort of your home. We’ll ship them straight to you lickety-split. Like, fast. Check it out and let us know what you think.
Some more recent and newish releases hitting the shelves today, like previewed copies of Lies And Illusions, Shrink, Where The Wild Things Are and 2012, plus more copies of Away We Go, Star Trek and Monsters Vs Aliens. I may have skipped mentioning that we also have brand spankin’ new copies of Sherlock Holmes in stock, as well as The Men Who Stare At Goats, Twilight Saga: New Moon, Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Blind Side.
Some other cool stuff includes a brand new unopened Mad Men season 2, Bruce Lee: The Master Collection (Fists Of Fury/The Chinese Connection/Return Of The Dragon/Game Of Death/Bruce Lee: The Legend) and a whole box full of stuff I haven’t even looked at yet. Okay, not true. I peeked. It’s loaded with cool stuff.
In other news, it seems that we were duped into thinking the Betamax thing was the wave of the future. I sent all that stuff back.
Happy Friday folks, let the (rainy) weekend begin!
Welcome to the (almost) weekend, folks. It’s a cool spring day here in Ballard and although the Wall O’ Cool is brimming with great stuff, I’ve decided to share something fun with you. Somebody over in the My Ballard forums just shared this and I thought it was pretty funny. It helps if you are familiar with the LOLcats phenomenon.
Assuming you are familiar with them funny cats, or you have by now educated yourself, here’s a review of The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
